Bad Piggies Tool Box is a sandbox game to be released for the PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Oculus Rift on February 16, 2016. Unlike most Bad Piggies games, this one is in 3D, similar to Angry Birds GO!.
The game is similar to the original Bad Piggies, however you have an endless amount of resources. You can build karts in 3D, by simply pressing the left trigger(Oculus Rift with Xbox controller, Xbox One, PS4) or clicking (PC) on where you want to place items, similar to Minecraft.
In the Oculus Rift version, you have first person mode. You can move your head to look different directions.
Since 2014, Rovio has been thinking of a sequel to Bad Piggies. They wanted to make players feel like they were actually driving a car as opposed to gravity. They were originally going to release it for just the PC, the Xbox One, and the PS4. But later that year, they discovered a console called Oculus Rift. They thought the system would be a perfect fit for their new game. They later released a demo for PC on Steam.
- The game was originally going to be fast-paced, however Oculus thought the players might get sick.
- The game is similar to Super Mario Maker.
- Level design was originally pitched for the game, but Rovio thought that level design would only fit in a 2D environment.
